Failed gift recurring recovery

What this flow is for

Failed Recurring Donations Recovery (ACH and Debit Cards) is a GivFlow flow for when an ACH or debit recurring gift fails.

The card and overview describe it this way: the automation tries to recover ACH and debit card donations that have failed by sending a series of emails so the donor can update the payment method of the failed donation.

It does not change how giving works in Planning Center. It is follow-up email with a clear ask: update the payment method.

What you'll see

On Flows (/automations  ), the list card can show a Paused badge and an Enabled on date at the same time.

On Overview:

• Automation: Paused when it is not running
• Step count (for example 2/2 steps)
• Tabs: Overview, Activity, Edit Steps
• Automation Performance, with Expected Recovery and Enhanced Giving

Overview also includes How is this calculated? GivFlow's data shows a 33% chance a donor will never give again after a failed donation, and those who recover typically miss three gifts first.

If the flow is Paused, it is not emailing anyone. Review the emails on Edit Steps rather than treating enable as a first click.
