Planning Center connection disrupted

If GivFlow cannot talk to Planning Center, budgets, donations, lists, statuses, and flows stop getting fresh data. Settings → Organization shows a yellow Connection Disrupted! banner and Planning Center Status: Disconnected.

First-time connect is covered in Connect Planning Center.

Confirm the connection

  1. In the left sidebar, click Settings. Stay on the Organization tab (Organization information).
  2. Look for the yellow banner: Connection Disrupted! It looks like our connection to Planning Center is no longer valid. Can the org Admin update it here? An org Admin is who the banner asks to repair it.
  3. Check Planning Center Status. Disconnected means GivFlow is not syncing. Organization Status is separate — Active means the org is active in GivFlow, even if Planning Center is disconnected.
  4. Confirm you are on the right church. If not, click Switch.

Restore it

  1. An org admin should use the update link on the banner (update it here).
  2. Confirm the Planning Center Subdomain (church center) field (your-subdomain.churchcenter.com  ). The note under the field: required for using automations. Click Update Domain if the subdomain is wrong or was never saved.
  3. When the connection is valid again, Planning Center Status should no longer read Disconnected, and the yellow banner should go away. Wait for data to catch up.

If the banner remains, or organization information looks wrong, email support@givflow.com.

Customize Tab Settings is an external Planning Center link. It will not reconnect a Disconnected status. Switch is for another organization, not a reconnect.

Lists sync from the primary GivFlow user. After a reconnect, that person must still be able to see the GivFlow tab in Planning Center.
