Donor statuses

How consistently someone gives

Donor Status is GivFlow's read on how consistently someone gives in a budget — not a membership status in Planning Center. Statuses are calculated per budget. Someone can be new to one budget and active on another.

On Dashboards → Budgets, the tiles are New, Second, Active, Recovered, Lapsed, Inactive, and Occasional. Status tiles include View →. Estimated Recurring is a separate tile, not a status.

• New — First-time giver in this budget.
• Second — They have given a second time.
• Active — At least 3 gifts, at least once per quarter (about every 90 days).
• Recovered — Previously lapsed, and they have started giving again.
• Lapsed — They were Active, then missed two of their usual frequencies in a row. Lapsed can last up to 12 months before Inactive.
• Inactive — No gift in over 12 months.
• Occasional — Enough giving for GivFlow to notice, but not at least once per quarter.

You cannot be lapsed unless you were already Active. GivFlow learns frequency from the person's own pattern. Lapsed is calculated weekly, so that status can lag a few days.
