Add DNS records at GoDaddy
Copy Type, Name/Host, and Value from GivFlow View DNS (or the email GivFlow sent). Do not invent records.
Before you start
- You already have the GivFlow records.
- This domain uses GoDaddy nameservers. If nameservers point elsewhere, add the records at that host instead.
Add the records
- Sign in to your GoDaddy Domain Portfolio.
- Select the domain (Domain Settings).
- Select DNS to view DNS records.
- Select Add New Record, then choose TXT or CNAME from the Type menu — match GivFlow Type.
- Enter Name, Value, and TTL. Name is the prefix only, without the domain. Use
@for the root. Leave TTL at the default 1 hour unless GivFlow listed something else. - Optional: Add More Records for the rest of the GivFlow list.
- Select Save (or Save All Records). Domain Protection may ask for 2SV or an email OTP.
Note: A CNAME Name cannot be @ , and cannot already be in use by another record.
Most DNS updates take effect within an hour, but can take up to 48 hours globally.
