Remove a flow step
On Edit Steps, drop an email from the sequence with Remove Step.
Note: Only the last step can be removed. Earlier steps do not show Remove Step. To go from three emails to one, remove the last step, then the new last step, until one remains.
The trash icon in the flow header deletes the entire automation, not a step. Do not use it to remove an email.
Remove the last step
- In the left sidebar, click Flows.
- Open the flow.
- Click Edit Steps.
- Select the last step (on a two-email flow, Email #2).
- Open the Email Settings accordion at the top of the step. It includes Delay (days after the previous step) and a Call-to-action Link.
- Click Remove Step (red button with a trash icon).
+ Add Step adds an email. Update Step and Send Test at the bottom of the step are not required to remove one.
